ANONYMOUS CALL REJECTION

Allows you to reject calls from any numbers that have activated the privacy feature and prevents the delivery of their number to your phone. When ACR is active any privacy marked calls are directed to an announcement and your telephone does not ring. This feature automatically comes with caller ID. The feature will remail on until you turn it off. If you have Select Call Acceptance and/or Priority Ringing, calls from numbers included in your list will be connected through to your telephone, even when the calls are marked for privacy.
To Use Anonymous Call Rejection:

CALL FORWARDING

Call forwarding allows you to transfer your incoming calls automatically to a different telephone number. If you forward your calls to an out of area telephone number where a long distance charge applies, you will be billed for the charges.
How to Use:
Dial and wait 4 seconds* for a dial tone; then dial the forward-to number and wait 4 seconds* for 2 bursts of dial (confirmation) tone. The called number is stored and call forwarding is activated. If you wish to call the forward-to number to notify the party of the call forwarding condition, wait another 4 seconds and the call will be placed.
To deactivate this feature and restore normal service, dial and wait 4 seconds* for 2 bursts of dial (confirmation) tone; then hang up.
Your telephone receives a burst of ringing when a call is forwarded. This indicates that the call forwarding feature is activated and also serves as a reminder to deactivate the forwarding feature, if desired. Note: You cannot answer your telephone until you deactivate the forwarding feature; however, you can originate calls.

Call Forwarding Remote Access allows the customer to activate and deactivate call forwarding features from a remote directory number. This option can be used in conjunction with any of the call forwarding features. Set up instructions will be provided by ITS when you order this service.

CALL HOLD

Call hold allows you to put a call on hold and make a second call. Note: This feature will not allow the conferencing of the two calls.
To return to the original call, repeat steps 2 and 3.
1. Make the first call.
2. Flash switch hook. You will hear a stutter tone.
3. Press to put the first call on hold.
4. Make 2nd call when you hear dial tone.

CALL RETURN

Call return allows you to dial a code and have a call automatically returned to the last party who called or attempted to call you.
To Use:
1. Press 
2. Listen for an announcement that will tell you the phone number of the party who last called you.

4. If you do not wish to return the call, hang up.
5. If the line is busy:

CALL SCREENING

Call screening allows you to create a list of phone numbers from which you do not wish to receive calls. Calls from phone numbers on your list are sent to an announcement that informs the caller that you are not receiving calls at this time.
How to Use:

CALL TRACE
Non-recurring charge per successful trace: $4.93
Call Trace allows you to automatically request a trace of an obscene, threatening or harassing call. After receiving such a call, you simply dial a special code to have the calling party’s phone number printed at the Telephone Company.
To Use Call Trace:
1. Hang up after receiving the annoying call.
2. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
3. Press , then listen for tone or announcement.
After requesting a Call Trace, you should call the Telephone Company if you want the call to be investigated further. Please call before the end of the next business day.

CALL WAITING

The equivalent of two telephone lines into the same set, call waiting is a feature that allows you to place a call on “hold” while answering another call.
1. When you are notified of the incoming call by a call waiting alert tone, depress and release the hookswitch to put the original party on hold. You are then connected to the calling party.
2. To alternate between parties, depress and release the hookswitch once for each transfer. Note: Each conversation between you and one of the other parties is private.
3. If you wish to end the original conversation when you hear the call waiting alert tone, simply hang up. Your telephone then rings and you are connected to the calling party.
4. To deactivate Call Waiting, you must dial before placing a call.

CALLER ID

Caller ID lets you see the calling party’s phone number before answering a call. A special display device located on or next to your phone is required to allow you to view the calling number.
To use Caller ID:
1. Wait for the start of the second full ring of your phone set.

PREFERRED CALL FORWARDING

Preferred Call Forwarding allows you to create a list of phone numbers that are to be forwarded when they call you. When you activate this service, and a call arrives from a phone number that is on your list, the call is forwarded. All other calls will ring your phone in the normal fashion.
To Use Preferred Call Forwarding:

- Turn Preferred Call Forwarding on or off.

PRIORITY RINGING

Priority Ringing allows you to program your telephone line to ring with a special ringing pattern whenever you are called from a select list of phone numbers. Your phone will ring with a normal ringing pattern for all other calling numbers. If you also have Call Waiting, you will hear a distinctive Call Waiting tone whenever someone on your list calls you while you are on the phone.
To Use Priority Ringing

Repeat dialing allows you to dial a code to have your phone continuously attempt to redial a busy number that you tried to call. When the line is free, you will be alerted with a special ringing, and a call will automatically be made. You can also use Repeat Dialing to redial the last number you called.
How to Use:
1. Hang up, then lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
2. Press

Allows the customer to permit outgoing toll calls to be made only if they are charged to the called telephone, a third number or a credit card account.
This service is available to hospitals, hotels, motels and other establishments only where facilities permit.

Special Call Acceptance allows you to screen incoming calls by creating a list of phone numbers from which you are willing to accept calls. Calls from phone numbers not contained on your list are sent to an announcement that informs the caller that you are not receiving calls at this time.

SPEED DIALING
Speed dialing reduces the amount of digits needed to dial local or long distance calls. Once a number is coded with an address code of one or two digits, only that code needs to be dialed to make a call to that number.
8-Number Option

With this option, your speed-calling codes are the single digits 2 – 9.
30-Number Option

With this option, your speed-calling codes are in the double digits 20 through 49.
1. To enter a speed calling code, dial and wait 4 seconds* for a dial tone.
2. From the available code numbers, dial the code number you wish to substitute for the directory number./
3. Dial the directory number to be stored that corresponds to the code number selected in step 2 and wait 4 seconds* for 2 burst of dial (confirmation) tone; then hang up.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each number to be stored, using a different code number each time. If you wish to replace a previously stored number with a new one, repeat steps 1 through 3.
To use a speed calling code that has been programmed for your telephone, dial the selected code number and wait 4 seconds* for the call to be placed.

THREE-WAY CALLING

A conference call at your command, always. Or a great way to plan parties, family get-togethers, or just reach out and touch more than someone. Businesses and homemakers will find equal benefit from this feature.
1. To initiate three-way calling, depress and release the hookswitch to put the original party on hold. Listen for three bursts of dial tone followed by a steady (normal) dial tone.
2. Dial the number of the third party. When this party answers you can talk privately. When you are ready to establish the conference connection, depress and release the hookswitch. Note: If the third party does not answer or the line is busy, depress and release the hookswitch and you are reconnected to your original party.
3. When the originating party hangs up, all parties are disconnected and the call is completed.

TOLL CONTROL w/PIN

With a Personal Identification Number (PIN), the customer can control long distance dialing. Your PIN is established with a customer service representative at the telephone company. Long distance dialing will not be permitted without this confidential code.

VOICE MAIL

How to set up your Voice Mailbox the first time you use it:
1. Dial the Voice Mail access number 597-7998.
2. you will be asked to enter your pass code. Enter your telephone number, 597-_ _ _ _. This is your temporary pass code and is used only this one time.
3. The automated vice will give you step by step instructions on how to set up your Voice Mail mailbox.
Listen carefully as you are instructed on how to establish your pass code, which will be 4 to 10 digits, your greeting and your name.
Remember your pass code—it will be needed every time you enter your mailbox.
- If you have any problem setting up your mailbox, call 597-2111.
How to retrieve messages from your touch-tone telephone:
1. When you pick up your telephone, you will hear a stutter dial tone indicating you have un-played message(s).
2. Dial the Voice Mail access number 597-7998.
3. Enter your pass code as directed.
4. The automated voice will tell you have many message(s) you have.
5. Press P, (the 7 key) to play the first message.
6. You will be given a list of options after you have listened to your message.
Example: Press D, (the 3 key) to discard the message or Press K (the 5 key) to keep the message.
7. You will always press the X, (the 9 key) to exit the system.

WARM LINE SERVICE

Warm Line allows you to call a pre-designated number or emergency service by simply lifting the handset. The pre-designated number is selected by you when you order your Warm Line service. To change this number, you must contact the telephone company.
To Use:
1. Lift handset and wait. (Within 14 seconds, the pre-designated number will be dialed automatically.)
2. If you do not wish to dial the pre-designated number, you may dial any other number before 14 seconds have elapsed.
